Boarding the VIP Lounge: What Do the Airport Codes Mean? ✈️💚

Every recipe = an airport code. Your boarding pass to flavor.

If you’ve stepped into our Exclusive VIP Lounge, you’ve probably noticed something curious: every recipe is named after an airport code — BRU, JFK, DXB, AMS… but what does it all mean? 🤔

At The Matcha Jet, we blend aviation with mindful rituals. Just like every airport is a gateway to a new destination, each recipe in our lounge is a gateway to a new flavor journey. 🌍✨

Why Airport Codes?

Instead of giving our recipes ordinary names, we use IATA airport codes to make you feel like you’re actually traveling with us, discovering new drinks, new vibes, and new ways to enjoy matcha. Think of each code as a little destination stamp in your flavor passport.

Every airport code is related to the recipe. For example UIO, Ecuador, as most of the bananas come from Ecuador. Or BRU, it’s the classic one…

A Taste of the Codes

  • BRU (Brussels) — our European home base; a cozy classic to kickstart your journey.
  • JFK (New York) — when you think about pumpkins, New York is the first place to look.
  • DXB (Dubai) — a luxurious twist with the new hype in Dubai, the new trend, Hojicha.
  • OSL (Oslo) — you need a hot little cup as you’re cold.
  • FRA (Frankfurt) — the sweet strawberry twist, as Strawberries originally come from Germany.
  • MRS (Marseille) — sun-kissed, bright, Mediterranean mood, with a foamy layer on top with a fresh sweet taste.
  • HND (Tokyo Haneda) — refined, elegant, ceremony meets city pace with a lemonade twist.
  • VCE (Venice) — romantic, silky, slow-sipping with a nobrainer, coffee.
  • BCN (Barcelona) — playful, colorful, a little fiesta in a cup with a cacao taste.
  • DPS (Bali) — tropical notes, island calm and the festive vibe with a Matcha Mojito.
  • LHR (London Heathrow) — timeless, classic, a daily staple, perfect match for your daily cup of tea/matcha.
  • AMS (Amsterdam) — easygoing, smooth, everyday friendly, GIN and Amsterdam? THE match made in heaven.
  • FCO (Rome) — when you think about Rome, The spritz isn’t far away! Lets go for the Matcha Spritz.
  • MAN (Manchester) — cozy, comforting, perfect for sweater weather with a pumpkin in the hand.
  • UIO (Quito) — a nod to tropical goodness (hi, bananas 🍌) and altitude vibes.

Each code unlocks a recipe inspired by the vibe, culture, or feeling of that destination.
